Appeal following serious collision on A51 Rugeley bypass

Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the A51 Rugeley bypass.

At around 10:50am on Sunday 21 November, a black Vauxhall Insignia and a white Toyota Aygo were involved in a collision between Station Road and Wolsely Road.

A 28-year-old female, who was occupying the Vauxhall, was treated by paramedics at scene. She was later taken by ambulance to hospital and her injuries are believed to be serious.

Two men were also taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries in the collision.

Witnesses who may have seen either of the vehicles in the Rugeley area prior to the collision or anyone with any relevant dashcam footage should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter, quoting incident number 289 of 21 November, or call 101.
