King leads royals in procession as Queen’s coffin taken to St Giles’ Cathedral

The King is leading a procession among other royals behind the Queen’s coffin, as it is taken from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh.

The coffin is draped with the Royal Standard in Scotland and dressed with a wreath of flowers consisting of white Spray Roses, white Freesias, white button chrysanthemums, dried white heather from Balmoral, spray eryngium, foliage, rosemary, hebe, and pittosporum.

Members of the royal family, the King, the Princess Royal, the Duke of York, and the Earl of Wessex, are walking with the hearse.

The royals will be among those attending a service of thanksgiving for the Queen’s life at the cathedral.

Huge crowds have gathered to watch the procession.
