Stafford FM’s founding member, Ray Crowther, returned to the air this morning (09/01/2023) with a brand new Mid Morning Show.
The popular local radio presenter made a welcome return to the radio station that he was instrumental in launching – originally back in 2001.
Ray kicked off his new show with a flurry of guests, including football reporting legend, George Andrews, who recently completed a milestone by reporting on his 5000th football match – and he went back to the place where it all began over 3 decades ago at Marston Road. George also donated a signed copy of his new book ‘Follow the Bear’ for the upcoming Stafford FM auction.
Other guests on the Mid-Morning Show included Councillor, Frances Beatty, talking about the start of the £1 million re-development work in the Market Square – which got underway this morning.
“It was great to be back home. I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the message of support from listeners – it really is quite humbling.”
Ray’s show will air on weekday mornings between 10am and 12pm and he already has more guests lined up on the show this week, including Damon Preece from the Stafford Samaritans, and a special appearance on Thursday’s show by local singer/songwriter, Selwyn, who releases his new single ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ next week.
